“Staying Sane In An Insane World.”

You don’t have to look too hard to notice that we are living in a time like no other.  As I was listening to the news a few hours ago, they were doing a report on Colorado since they establish a law that it was legal to smoke “recreational marijuana” and the effect that it has brought to their state and to the lives of those that live there.

Because of all the deaths on the highways and many other death that this decision has produced, they now have to establish areas that can be designated strictly for those that can go to a certain geographical location, and this location is set aside for them to just go there and do really any type of drugs they desire to do.  In other words, they are like animals, where you just get them in one spot, so they are not a hazard to anyone else other than themselves.

After listening to 4 of our young ladies sing on our platform last night, the Holy Spirit has spoken to Pastor’s heart about the state that so many of this last generation are finding themselves in.  They are finding themselves in a world where there is absolutely no saneness for the most part.

But Pastor is very much aware that it is not only the youth and young adults, but it’s Dads and Moms that are trying to raise them as well. I will go out on a limb and say this; “If the generation of the 70-80 year olds had to go back and live their youth again in our present date, most of them would absolutely go mad.”  I know that is a bold statement, but it’s the state of the world in our present day.   That is why it’s so important for young families to keep their faithfulness to the house of God.  It’s the place where they can get grounded in the truth of God’s Word and know that it will sustain them in all the insaneness that is going on around them.

Listen to what Paul speaks to this “Timothy Generation”.   In 2 Tim. 3: 13-17, “But evil people and impostors will flourish.  They will deceive others and will themselves be deceived.  But you must remain faithful to the things you have been taught.  You know they are true, for you know you can trust those who taught you.  You have been taught the Holy Scriptures from childhood and they have given you the wisdom to receive Salvation that comes by trusting in Christ Jesus.  All scriptures is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is right and wrong in our lives.  It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do right.  God uses it to prepare and equip us to do every good work” (NLT) Please read these verses several times because   that is how we can stay sane in an insane world.

There is so much pressure being put on our families that do all they can to live for God and to be faithful to God.  But we must not wavier in our commitment to our families.  Our first comment to our marriages, husbands and wives, and to our children is to have them connected to God in order that all the truth of the scriptures you have just read will come to their lives.   And then it does not matter how insane things are around them, they will be secure, blessed, and victorious in this insane world.

The world’s thinking is that if they keep doing the same thing over and over again, they will get a different result and that is the definition of being insane.  But for the child of God, we are not dependent on the World; our dependence is in God and God alone.  The world keeps going to the world for a different result and that is insane, we keep going to God for a different result each time according to our needs and we get it, but we go to God, not the world.

I just wanted to tell you, you can measure up to God’s expectations and to think anything different is insane because God loves you so much, He died for you!  So, what Pastor is saying today is don’t go to this world expecting a different result, it will not happen. But, you can go to God anytime, as many times and get whatever you need because He is God and He can do anything!

The rest of this will come Sunday morning if the Holy Spirit continues to direct.

Until all are reached,

Pastor White
